I bought a gift voucher for my boyfriends birthday with Great Experience days, (a company that offer a range of sporting,restaurant,hotel and spa experiences), for a evening at a celebrity chef's restaurant in London.The booking was confirmed and we arrived at the restaurant only to find that they were no longer honouring the vouchers as the GED had run up a large debt with them and could not be contacted. We could not contact them either and we are extremely out of pocket as I had to pay for a meal I had already paid £170 for.The voucher was a birthday gift and it was humiliating to discover the supposed special experience was little more than a scam,it certainly tainted the evening.
We are not the only customers of the so- called 'Great Experience Days' to have suffered without explanation or refund and many large companies who deal with them remained unpaid.
It's terrible that customers who bought the vouchers in good faith have been left high and dry.
Their website is still up and running.. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!
