Damaged good awful cosutomer service

Bought a washer dryer from Sainsburys Kitchen Appliances in October 2008. It arrived damaged. The delivery company were not helpful. I am still waiting for Sainsburys to fix this mess in February 2009. Their customer service is terrible, they say they will call and they do not they have no kind of compensation scheme. Stay away!

Sainsbury Kitchen Appliances

Don't Do It!

Where on earth do I start!
First attempted delivery of new dishwasher was at 7.30 am in the morning when I wasn't there, even though delivery is stated from 8am and I had also explained that delivery was to an office. 2nd time, the item had a huge scratch up it. The 3rd time the deliverer would not install despite the fact I had paid £15 for installation. Over a month later the item is delivered again and installed only for me to turn the on buttton and nothing happens. Installer leaves with machine but fails to tell me that he's turned my fridge off (the plug with the (DO NOT REMOVE sign-despite the fact I plugged in a 4 gang extension lead for him) and left a the dishwasher waste pipe connection at the bottom of my sink totally exposed (picture this, your sink with no pipes underneath, just a big hole). 2 hours later I find my fridge has defrosted and my kitchen flooded. I phone to complain only to be told "He's not a qualified plumber". That is supposed to make me feel better!
Read the other reviews for conclusive proof that you should avoid Sainsbury like the plague. It really is no coincidence there are so many complaints.The Marx Brothers would be proud of their work.

Customer Services @ Sainsburys

On Saturday 26 November 2005, my washing machine broke at which point I foolishly ordered a Hotpoint machine from Sainsbury's Kitchen Appliances on-line. On Tuesday 29 November they delivered to me a washing machine which was smashed down one side. The delivery man advised me to return it and took it away. The following week they delivered to me another machine which was similarly damaged all down the front. On Friday 8 December I took delivery of washing machine number three which strangely, although not damaged, does not switch on. After two full weeks with no washing machine I contacted Sainsburys and advised them that I would purchase a machine elsewhere which I did via Comet who managed to deliver first time! However, I am stil in possession of the machine from Sainsbury's which does not work and despite numerous attempts to return the machine and get my money back, no-one has the courtesy to ring me back. I would strongly advise against purchasing anything from this outfit!
