Shop online at repaircare

I booked a repair and they took £200 at the time of booking, 2 days before the actual call out, I then had to cancel the repair and wanted a refund as I'd cancelled the day prior to the call out. They then said I'd have to pay a £45 cancellation fee this is not told to you when you book them and they had not incurred any expenses at all as I'd cancelled in good time, the initial person on the phone was rude and unhelpful, his supervisor was no better, he was rude, spoke over me and wouldn't do anything until I put a complaint in writing, the complaints department won't accept phone calls (very dodgy) only e-mails. I wrote in and got a message left for me the next day saying that they had never debited my money from my account. I called the bank who assured me that the money had left my account and my on-line bank statement also showed the money had been debited, the complaints lady said it'll take 5 days to come back to my account, they haven't refunded it so I fully expect the money will still be in their system somewhere. I've notified Trading Standards they are a rip off company with rude and unhelpful staff and you should avoid them at all costs. If my money does not come back to my account in the next 7 days I will issue court procedddings against them also beware as they operate under different company names.

Booking was easy. Engineer came out and seemed efficient. Parts needed for dishwasher. Repaircare (after 2 weeks and some frustrated calling) say 5 week delay! Their website says 3 days for parts - had I known the possibility of a 5 week delay, I would have gone elsewhere. An unhelpful 'nothing to be done' attitude from their staff. Have read of other customers' delays elsewhere on the net.
