In fact the shade consists of eight square glass sheets that are inserted and bear on a pyrex glass cylinder. Hence an eight centimetre wide cube is generated. It is clear outside, but matt inside in order that a possible glare can be minimized. However Otto x Otto T is even more versatile. The eight glass elements, that overlie on each other, can be rotated independently from each other horizontally in any position. Thereby the shade can be designed in various shapes. The glass sheets are held by a chrome-plated metal structure.
